After graduating as a specialist orthodontist, Dr Zak relocated to the Sunshine Coast in 2021, seeking the sunshine and surf that the Sunny Coast has to offer. He has taken up surfing as a hobby, and at the weekends you’ll find him surfing, running, bike riding or hiking around the coast.
Dr Zak completed his dental degree in Liverpool, England with first-class honours and was awarded the academic medal in his final examinations. After qualifying, he undertook senior house office roles at Liverpool Dental Hospital and one year in adult and children’s Maxillofacial surgery. The exposure and experience of working within multiple different specialties of dentistry inspired him to pursue a career in orthodontics. He completed several years of specialist training to qualify as a specialist orthodontist, obtaining his Master’s degree from the University of Liverpool and was awarded the Willam Houston medal for his academic achievement in the specialist examinations with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
His favourite aspect of working with ethos is creating a positive journey for patients to create their amazing smiles, working alongside the incredible team around him. He particularly enjoys collaborating on complex multidisciplinary cases to help patients achieve their best smiles.
