Dr Cath O’Shea
BDSC DCLIN DENT(ORTH) MORTH RCS(ED) MRACDS
Cath has been a part of the Ethos team since 2014. She particularly enjoys working closely with children and teens, transforming their smiles and seeing how much confidence this can bring to her patients. She loves working with a team of passionate and supportive people she works alongside at Ethos Orthodontics.
Cath completed her Bachelor of Dental Science at UQ in 2001 and worked as a General Dentist in Brisbane, before jetting off to work all over the world! She initially accepted a Senior House Officer position at the Department of Paediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at the University of Dundee in Scotland, which sparked her keen interest in Orthodontics.
In 2007, Cath completed her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics at the University of Otago in New Zealand, followed by a Fellowship year at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. It was here that she began focusing on the treatment of children and young adults with cleft lip and palate, and other complex craniofacial anomalies.
Before returning to Brisbane, she was also privileged to be the consultant dentist at McMurdo Station, for the US Antarctic Program. During this appointment she also visited the South Pole!
Outside of work, Cath is a mother to three growing boys which keeps her endlessly busy. She enjoys playing golf and is an avid cricket and tennis fan.
Cath works at our Toowong, Carindale and Cleveland branches.
