Dr Melissa Nguyen

Born and raised in Canberra, Dr Melissa Nguyen moved to sunny Queensland to complete her Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and a Graduate Diploma of Dentistry at Griffith University. She then went on to complete a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics from the University of Adelaide.
A certified specialist from the Australasian Orthodontic Board, Dr Mel has been awarded esteemed memberships to the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, alongside placements within the Australian Orthodontic Society, the American Orthodontic Society, the European Orthodontic Society and the Australian Dental Association. Talk about a global superstar!
Adding to her achievements, Dr Mel’s research has been published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, and her passion for education has led her to present lectures at both local and international orthodontic conferences.
When she’s not at work or busy researching the latest in Orthodontic and dentistry developments, Dr Mel enjoys learning to play the acoustic guitar, traveling, Pilates and spending time with family and friends.
