How long have you been an Orthodontist?
What inspired you to become an Orthodontist?
I have always loved working closely with children and young adults. Orthodontics appealed to me because it is an aspect of Dentistry that can positively transform an individual at any age. It is a rewarding career and I feel privileged to hold this responsibility.
Favourite thing about working with the ethos team?
Joining a dynamic group of people who genuinely love their chosen work and enjoy making patients at ease during their Orthodontic care.
Most inspiring moment?
Watching my baby smile!
What can a smile say?
Happiness, empathy, love and kindness.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy raising my two young sons (ages 3 years and 6 months) and spending quality time with my husband. I am also learning German and I love Orchids.
What’s your favourite song at the moment?
I listen to an outdated variety of old classics, classical and American folk music.
Hard to beat my 2010 trip to the US South Pole Base as a Dentist where I cross country skied on the Polar plateau at -40degC. And yes, my nose was cold!
Dr Cath O’Shea works at our Toowong, Carindale and Cleveland branch.
