Orthodontics is a great way to change the structure of your teeth, both for cosmetic and health reasons. However, as technology has advanced, so have the various treatments available. This can make choosing the right treatment difficult. The following outlines the various pros and cons of each to help you choose the correct treatment for your teeth.

Invisalign is a great option for those who may not want to wear traditional braces. Using clear aligners, Invisalign alters the shape of your teeth gradually, with aligners replaced regularly as your teeth change. The plate is almost invisible and requires fewer appointments with your orthodontist to achieve permanent results. You can remove the plate when brushing or eating. However, Invisalign may take a lot longer than traditional braces and comes with a higher price tag. It is also not suitable for those with more serious problems, which means you may not be eligible for this option dependent on your needs.

A modern version of traditional braces, Clarity is suited to all kinds of people with varying problems and goals, offering a fast and effective solution to any structural problems. The method uses light, slimline wires and comes with clear braces so it blends with your teeth. It is the most affordable choice. However, the braces cannot be removed and do have a visible wire that make it more obvious than Invisalign.

Incognito, on the other hand, gives you the best of both worlds, with the braces being placed on the back of the teeth. The downside to Incognito is it’s price, it is the most expensive of the three. The adjustment  take longer than traditional braces also, it is important to note that this treatment is not suitable for children.
